About the Church

Oak Grove was established in the late 1940's by a group of believers, hungry for a deeper move of God's Spirit and annointing in their lives. Over the past 60 years, Oak Grove has continued to be a refuge of hope and help to people seeking a relevant and vital relationship with the Lord. Pator David Fernandez served from 1974 until 2006 as the senior pastor. Under his leadership the congreagation grew in both number and spiritual maturity. Moving from a congregational form of government to a biblically based government that recognizes the five-fold ministry, Oak Grove has desired to follow the Word of God in faith an practice in an ever increasing measure.

In 2006, Pastor James Wiley was appointed as the Senior Pastor. Pastor James had served at Oak Grove in varrying capacities from 1984 until 2003 as the youth pastor, children's pastor, and worship leader. After serving in Princeton, West Virginia as Senior Pastor for three years, He returned to Oak Grove and became the Senior Pastor. Oak Grove has continued to enjoy God's blessing of increase in the principles of the kingdom of God. Recently, Oak Grove built a new multi-purpose worhsip center which more than doubles the seating capactiy for worship services as well as providing recreational, youth, nursery, classroom, and kitchen factilities.

Oak Grove's motto is, "Loving God, Loving People, Serving Our World". We desire to show the Love of God through our works of service. One of the vital ministries of Oak Grove is the Fish & Loaves daily feeding program. Monday through Friday, over 70 meals are prepared and delivered daily to the elderly and homebound. In addition to the daily feeding program, we are a distribution center for the nationwide Angel Food Ministry program. We strongly believe that the gift makes way for the giver. We believe that through our gifts of love and service to our community, doors of evangelism will be opened and we can lead multitudes to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord.
