Meet our Staff

Pastor James Wiley
Pastor James Wiley has been in pastoral ministry for more than 24 years. His long and rich history with Oak Grove dates back to 1984 when he began leading the youth ministry. Over the next 19 years, he served in Children’s ministry, served as the worship leader, and for 8 years served as the Associate Pastor. In 2003 Pastor James accepted a call as the Senior Pastor of First Assembly of God in Princeton, WV. After serving there for three years, Pastor James returned to Oak Grove Church as the Senior Pastor.

Pastor James & Luana have three children Kayla & husband Micah Duke of Roanoke, VA, Karla, & James Austin. Their shared vision for the body of Christ is that every believer discovers and functions in the role God has gifted them for. As we mature in purpose we will reproduce who we are and lead others to their destiny in Christ.

Pastor Ralph Barwick, Associate Pastor
Pastor Ralph Barwick has served in pastoral ministry for 18 years. He has specialized in youth and music ministry. Having received formal training at Chipola Jr. College in music, Pastor Ralph has led youth and adult choirs, worship teams, ensembles, and taught voice. Pastor Ralph is married to Lori Barwick and they have three children, Mary, Isabella, and Lemuel.

Pastor Dave Fernandez, Pastoral Care Pastor

Pastor Fernandez serves as our minister of pastoral care, overseeing our visitation ministry. He also teaches an adult Bible study on Wednesday nights. Pastor Fernandez is truly the senior minister at Oak Grove having been the Sr. Pastor from 1974 to 2006. His faithful service over those 32 years led Oak Grove through many changes and provided the platform for the current ministry that is taking place today. Pastor Fernandez and his wife Myrna have four children, Luana, Lisa, Buck, and Mandy, eight grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
